I'll dominate 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex two-time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
